Including parental leave, Regina has been part of the SPAR ICS team for 15 years. Starting in the Service Desk, Regina worked her way up to the position of team leader. Always on the lookout for a new challenge, Regina then took on a new role as Team Lead of the HCM team within ICS, which was a complete change from the role she had been doing. In addition to her professional development, Regina still manages to find time for her family, thanks to our family friendly working hours.
After more than 10 years of managing the IT Service Desk, I switched to the digital platform "B2C Commerce Spar" in April 2018. In the Digital Platform I was responsible for Incident Management, Application Maintenance, sprint planning and business communication within the operations environment. Since January 2020, I took over the role of team leader for the HCM team.

We are currently working on the international rollout of our eLearning and recruiting platforms and the digitalization of various HCM processes, such as skills and performance management.
Our day starts with a Daily StandUp. Each team member reports on the tasks he/she is planning for the day and at the same time offers the opportunity to discuss selected topics with colleagues. That’s how we support each other and keep each other up-to-date.
My team consists of HCM consultants who are responsible for the SAP HCM sub-modules like personnel administration, time management, payroll and organizational management as well as for the corporate recruiting and eLearning platform. Close collaboration with the business is key as one of our main roles is to be able to elegantly transform their requirements into cool IT solutions and thus jointly shape the future of HCM IT services - nationally and internationally.
We are looking for people who are motivated to work in such an environment and complement our team. Within ICS, we have a training program to build up the needed professional competencies for the job, most important is a strong willingness and desire to become a specialist in the HCM environment.
That was the day I came back from my maternity leave and resumed the lead of the service desk team again. During this time, I was the only part-time team lead at SPAR. That was pretty cool.

The incredible diversity here. I have great colleagues and I am motivated to develop my skills further. I've never been bored in all these years. What's more, SPAR ICS gives me the flexibility I need to balance family and career.
Riding or diving? Both. Even better when done together, according to Regina. Bliss is riding her horse through the beautiful Salzburg surroundings, and planning her next diving holiday. Taking care of her horses is Regina’s secret weapon to always remaining calm.
Since my earliest childhood, horses and riding have been my greatest passion. I have two horses and a pony, but of course, it takes a lot of time and money.
I am also fascinated by the underwater world, and I take the opportunity every chance I get to explore the underworld in my travels, whenever possible by diving.
The horses definitely help me professionally as well. By working with the horses, you learn and practice personal skills such as mindfulness, self-reflection, leadership, stamina and respect.
According to my daughter, unfortunately far too often. However, "self-awareness is the first step to recovery".
Greece! I don't like Winter very much and I believe that in the long run we get better physically in a Mediterranean climate. And let’s face it, we are not getting any younger! ;-) There are also direct flights from Salzburg, so friends and family could visit us anytime.
