I started as an in-house technician in two of the SES Shopping Centres in Salzburg. After 3 years, I transferred to the facility management department of the SES headquarters and became the first contact for all SES Shopping Centres, INTERSPAR and Maximarkt for the departments of electronics, security and IT. Alongside, I studied IT.

First facility technician, now information technician: Thomas is working for SPAR since 2008.
He started his career as an in-house technician in the SES Shopping Centres, later he advanced to the central facility management for SES, INTERSPAR and Maximarkt.
After graduating his extra-occupational IT studies in 2017, transferring to SPAR ICS was the next logical step.
I am a Demand Manager in the IT PMO, and I am responsible for all projects in the areas of IT infrastructure, facility, retail and innovation.
When running projects, I put emphasis on clearly defined aims, a practical approach, an efficient and cost-sensitive working process and the staffing of the “right” team members and, of course, the quality guarantee and quick delivery of our customer products.
These are the main tasks of a project that we as Demand Managers have to fulfil every day.
It’s hard to define an exact day.
Every day is different. That’s what makes working at SPAR ICS so exciting.
Thomas has a broad range of interest and skills, privately as well as professionally.
His detailed knowledge of the company and all brands, and his private interest for innovations in the IT sector make him a SPAR ICS allrounder.
Cooking, barbequing, hiking, strolling, skiing, ski touring, motorcycling, e-books, amateur radio.
My great interest in IT security, visualisation, Linux servers, web portals, databases and software-defined networking.
My sense for practical application helps me on fast working days to respond to my colleagues concerning technical issues, to understand their causes and to find the right decision, together, quickly and with confidence.
