Seeing the workplace of mum, dad, grandchild, brother or friend - that was possible at our Friends & Family Day on 17 May. SPAR ICS employees and their families and friends were invited to visit the SPAR IT headquarters in Salzburg in a relaxed setting and enjoy the extensive supporting programme. Around 170 visitors attended.
Strengthening bonds across the company and its corporate culture
How do you talk to your family and friends about the company you work for? At SPAR ICS, we have our own formula for strengthening bonds within the company. To foster these connections, our Culture Team initiated the Friends & Family Day, which took place for the second time this year. Last year's experience demonstrated the positive results of combining family values and career, highlighting the benefits of compatibility and work-life balance.
The day was filled with a variety of activities designed to engage all ages. From fun games and team-building exercises to interactive workshops and delicious food, there was something for everyone to enjoy: face painting, a bouncy castle, crafts and a photo box, as well as an entertaining cash register game and a tour of the in-house TV studio. In addition to various delicacies from the grill, the international dessert buffet was a special highlight.
Every family has its own cultural values and traditions, including holidays and dishes. That’s why we invited our colleagues to bring their sweet desserts and share them with the whole team. Food connects people, and traditional sweet cuisine enhances our cultural awareness, bridging the gap from home to the office. We had the chance to taste exquisite Bosnian, Ukrainian, Slovakian, Serbian, German, French, and, of course, Austrian desserts!
The compatibility of family and career is a high priority at SPAR - we are therefore pleased that SPAR ICS has a positive image among our colleagues and that they invite their families, friends and relatives to get to know their workplace.
