In order to strengthen its international IT teams, SPAR set up a new ICS location with an investment of 5 million euros at the TANN site in Wernberg. The state-of-the-art IT competence center is a new important IT hub for SPAR with its direct proximity to Croatia, Slovenia and northeastern Italy. Since the beginning of August, 14 IT experts have been working in this IT competence center. SPAR CEO Dr. Rudolf Staudinger, SPAR ICS Managing Director Andreas Kranabitl, SPAR Carinthia and East Tyrol Managing Director Paul Bacher and Wernberger Mayor Franz Zwölbar have now opened the new SPAR ICS hub in Wernberg / Föderlach.
"The war of talents in the IT industry is no secret in Austria. With this step, we have chosen a new approach to win employees for us", says Andreas Kranabitl, Managing Director of SPAR ICS, explaining the idea for the new IT competence center in Carinthia. That this step was a real one is shown by the employees already working in Wernberg. "We are very happy that we have found very good and qualified people in such a short time. But we are still looking for IT experts and project specialists for our new location", adds Kranabitl.
The Competence Center Wernberg offers a variety of job profiles, with a focus on international tasks and projects. Specific information on the currently vacant positions can be found in the SPAR ICS job board.
