Valter Giordano
is responsible for the overall digital security management of ICS in Italy. In this role, his main task is to protect the business of the company from cyber security threats. His focus is on implementing all possible countermeasures, taking into account technologies, procedures and applicable regulations to ensure compliance.

In his role as CISO, he is already working on important projects at the corporate level. Collaboration with digital security teams in other countries is particularly important to him in order to promote and share all processes and opportunities.
For successful international cooperation, it is not only essential to have a deep knowledge of the cyber security domain, but also to have an open mindset. "To have an open mindset is very important to be able to understand and accept what people from other countries are saying. Sharing ideas and true collaboration is a key to grow up together but an appropriate mentality is necessary to achieve that goal." Valter is also aware of the subtle nuances of foreign languages and cultures and has therefore set himself the personal goal of learning German.
